□ On January 18th, 2018, National Information Society Agency (President Suh Byung-jo, hereinafter referred to as NIA) opened a Peru-Korea Information Access Center(Mario Vargas Library, Arequipa). And the day, NIA opened a Paraguay-Korea Information Access Center(SENATICs, Asuncion)
○ In that of Paraguayan event, Juan Carlos Moreira(Presidential Secretary), Hector David Ocampos Negreiros(Minister of SENATICs), and Ahn, Min-sik(Korean Ambassador to Paraguay) were participated for the Opening ceremony.
○ For the Peru, Victor Raul Cardenas Velazquez(Vice governor of Arequipa), Mario Rommel(Chief Librarian of Espinosa Library), and the delegates of Korean embassy were participated for the Opening Ceremony.
○ The Information access center(IAC) project, which was started in 2002 and established 54 Centers in 46 countries as a part of ODA (Official Development Assistance) project in ICT sector, under the support of the Ministry of Science and ICT
□ Mr. Suh said, " Both Paraguayan and Peruvian centers will be not only a resolution for the settlement of digital divide but also a solution for the professional manpower training for their ICT field."
