Supporting e-Government training for Indonesian public workers from the Ministry of Society

□ National Information Society Agency supported an e-Government training program for Indonesian public workers held on two days from January 29th, welcoming four e-government delegates including Harry Z. Soeratin, Assistant Secretary of Latin (Harry Z. Soeratin).


○ This program was designed as a follow-up of e-Government cooperative work between Korea-Indonesia e-Government Cooperation Center(e-GCC) in Indonesia and the Indonesian government.


□ The "Korea-Indonesia e-Government Cooperation Center(e-GCC)" was established in Jakarta, and will be opened until December 2018.


○ For the operation of e-GCC, the two countries will each pay one million dollars. The center will help Indonesian government to understand stories of Korean e-Gov. development. For the aspect of Korea, e-GCC may give better opportunities for domestic companies in exporting their systems and products to Indonesia.


○ Both countries are engaged in activities related to e-GCC, such as implementing cooperative e-Government tasks, education for strengthening Information and Communication Technologies(ICT), e-Government policy consulting, etc.


□e-GCC in Indonesia has successfully completed three cooperative e-Government tasks in 2017, ① Developing Indonesian e-Government index, ② Establishing Enterprise Architecture(EA) in Indonesia, ③ Planning promoted the three issues of Indonesian electronic document and record management plan and completed did.


□ This training program was composed of field trip to institutions related to Bigdata, and lectures regarding e-Government policy


○ Public workers in the Ministry of Society of Indonesia will learn know-how such as Korea's information resource management strategies for improving social welfare services.


○ During the visit, Indonesia will announce the social welfare information system, and will discuss the cooperation scheme along with discussions with Korean experts.
