With the rapidly changing informatization environment and demands for new informatization policies,

the survey aims to develop indicators that encompass the current status of informatization of

enterprises in Korea from various aspects. The survey aims at providing basic data for establishing the national informatization policies by defining the informatization level and status of establishments in Korea in terms of their industrial types, sizes, organizational structures, and locations.

The result of the survey, as primary data, is utilized for establishing informatization-related policies

and conducting researches. 

The survey also provides Korean official statistical data to international

organizations such as Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development(OECD) and United

Nations Conference on Trade and Development(UNCTAD), etc.
