National Information Society Agency (President Kim, Chang Kon, http://www.nia.or.kr), or NIA, announced its new corporate identity (in the picture) as a follow-up measure of its name change and declared the agency's second leap forward.

NIA decided that in order for the agency to perform its new expanded roles, it was in need of a new image consistent with the new name, which was officially announced on October 4.

NIA announced that it will host a ceremony to declare the new CI on October 16.
The new CI was adopted as a part of the agency's strategy to realize its vision of becoming the leader of the ubiquitous society that ushers in the society of the future, and to solidify its image as an agency specializing in customer-driven knowledge and information services that fulfills its responsibilities to lead the highly advanced knowledge information society.

The new CI takes its motif from the agency's new initials, NIA, and Mobius Strip. Endless repetition and continuation represented by Mobius Strip was borrowed to express the agency's commitment to continuous development and innovation in a classic, circular line.

As for colors, grey to represent history and red to symbolize passion, futuristic mind and innovation are used for the CI, suggesting the agency's pride as the nation's leading IT agency and passion for the future.

The new CI will help those in and out of NIA recognize the agency's role and vision for the future, while presenting a clear set of management objectives and directions to our executives, said President Kim, Chang Kon of NIA. He added, With the new name as well as the new CI, we at NIA will do our utmost to achieve the agency's rebirth.

Meanwhile, National Information Society Agency is also called Information Agency as an abbreviation, and its official English abbreviation is NIA. To follow up on the name change, the NIA web site URL has been changed to www.nia.or.kr, with other web URLs to be gradually changed.
