NCA extends its consulting horizon to Argentina
The National Computerization Agency (NCA), in cooperation with the World Bank has extended its consulting horizon to Argentina.
From March 20th to 24th, two consultants from the NCA went to Buenos Aires Argentina to provide an ICT and Security Assessment of the SINTyS (the Social and Fiscal National Identification System) Projet and ICT Workshop for the project.
This consulting was a part of the World Bank's supervision mission of SINTyS Project to Argentina. The Bank and Argentina have been working to develop an advanced social and fiscal national identification system.
During the process, the Bank made a request to the NCA to conduct an independent evaluation of the overall SINTyS project in regards to the technology and security plans and overall ICT model/infrastructure of the project.
In addition to the assessment of the project, the consultants from the NCA also conducted a half-day workshop in Buenos Aires, in which Korea's experiences in e-Government and ICT were presented.
The workshop was attended by key government officials of the Ministry of Interior, ANSES (Social Security Agency) and SINTyS. The workshop raised awareness in the Argentine Government on the importance of the e-Government strategy and the ICT frameworks as means to government reform.
As a result, Argentine government, expressed vigorous wishes to cooperate with Korea in the e-Government and ICT area. Further cooperation between the Korean and Argentine government can be expected in the coming days.
