NCA published Korea Internet White Paper 2001(Korean edition)
National Computerization Agency(NCA) released the Korea Internet White Paper
2001 written in Korean on 16 March, 2001. It is composed of 8 parts such as
general remarks, domestic Internet policies, current Internet user status,
Internet business, Internet infrastructure, and so on. Especially this paper
deals with Internet in North Korea, wireless Internet market, and Internet
market in China and India.
Many research institutes took part in a variety of surveys to produce the
statistics of Internet in Korea. Based on these results, information and trends
regarding Internet are collected, classified and analyzed in this paper.
Comparisons were also made between the IT activities of Korea and those of
other prominent countries.
It is expected that the Korea Internet White Paper 2001 provides policy makers,
the educational and business communities with valuable insight into a past
history and present status of the Internet in Korea. NCA also plans to publish
Korea Internet White Paper 2001 English version on May, 2001.
