1. Small Enterprises Networking Project
Korea has been making every effort to apply IT to the industrial sectors. The
government is also establishing various policies and implementing them to
support the industrial world. In reality, however, this effort has been
concentrated on companies only up to a certain size among small and
medium enterprises. Accordingly, small and medium enterprise companies that
employ less than 50 employees, including the self-employed which account for
99% of the total (3,000,000), have been excluded from the area of IT
utilization due to the shortage of funds and manpower.
To improve this situation, the Ministry of Information and Communication
and the National Computerization Agency have jointly drawn up the plan
for the 'Small Enterprises Networking Project’. This project aims at enabling
each industry and company to integrate
IT according to its own scale and create balanced IT utilization, and in
particular, preparing an epoch-making scheme to enable the majority of small
enterprises to utilize IT in a better way.
It is expected that this project will also serve as a major breakthrough for
the IT industrial world, which recently had difficulty due to an economic
slump, by creating a new IT market.

2. National Informatization White Paper(English edition)
The National Computerization Agency publishes the annual 'National
Informatization White Paper(English Edition)' which summarizes in English,
Korea's informatization status and policies. The purpose of publication of
the English edition is to provide overseas institutions and individuals with an
accurate and objective picture of Korea's informatization efforts.
