NCA signs MOU with Cambodian information and communication agency
The nation is to carry out cooperative activities with Cambodia in the fields
of national informatization and information & communications technology.
Park Seong-deuk, head of the Korea Computerization Agency (NCA) announced on
April 10 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Cambodian
Foreign Minister Sok Ahn currently visiting Korea accompanying Prime Minister
Hun Sen on the afternoon of the 10th, for cooperation in the fields of national
informatization and information & communications technology.
The MOU stipulates exchange of concerned personnel and experts in the fields of
national informatization and information & communications technology,
technological support and cooperation for a Cambodian national administrative
informatization project, exchange of information on national policy,
technologies and others.
The two countries also agreed to provide support for business efforts to enter
the information fields of the partner country. With the signing, KCA plans to
aggressively promote overseas transfer of national informatization experiences
and support exports of national technologies and products.
Cambodia established the National Information Communication Development
Authority last year chaired by Prime Minister and vice chaired by Foreign
Minster for effective national informatization.
