On the 6th of February, Mr. Fernando Flores Labra, a senator of Chile, visited the NIA as a part of Korea tour invited by KOTRA to benchmark the IT development of Korea Mr. Labra is a chairman of the Science and Technology Policy Committee of Chile. Mr. Labra is also the vice president of the Pais Digital Foundation, which supports knowledge-based society of Chile and a founder of Mercator, which promotes Digital culture and education in Chile.
Also, Senator Labra had a meeting with Mr. Chang-Kon Kim, the president of the NIA, to discuss bilateral cooperation between Chile and Korea in the IT fields. Mr. Chang-Kon Kim mentioned the excellent outcomes achieved by the Korea-Chile IT Cooperation Center.
Afterall, the C provided presentations to understand the success factors of the IT development of Korea in cases of IT infrastucture, e-Government and u-Korea Plan, as future strategy. Mr. Labra closed the visit with a tour of the IPv6 and RFID showroom on the 15th floor where he had a chance to experience the new application of IPv6 and RFID technologies.
