Chile-Korea IT Cooperation Center Establishes Digital Home Network Showroom
As part of the result of joint research projects between Chile and Korea in
2004, the Digital Home Network Showroom was finally completed in Chile-Korea IT
Cooperation Center on May 16, 2005. The showroom will go a long way to
establishing a foundation to promote digital home network technologies in the
Latin America Region.
Introduced for the first time in the region, the over 20 or so types devices
and equipments being exhibited includes digital home servers, IPv6 web cameras,
IPv6 routers, digital home servers, sensor control devices, fixed mobile
convergence service devices, etc...
In the first public demonstration, visitors were awed by the new technologies
that showcased devices that highlighted new ways of improving their daily
lives.
These devices will also be exhibited in Data Shows in Chile and other Latin
American countries to promote the technology and expand its take-up. Further
research and promotional activities are being planned with active participation
from IT companies of both Chile and Korea.
The Digital Home Network Showroom of Chile-Korea IT Cooperation Center is
located in the University of Chile, Santiago.
