Korea-Mexico ITCC Launches Interactive IT Cooperation Portal
On May 5th (Korea time), Korea-Mexico IT Cooperation Center held the ‘Launching
of Interactive IT Cooperation Portal’ at the Postal Palace in Mexico City. The
event is aimed at promoting knowledge exchange and IT cooperation between
Mexico and Korea by assisting Korean IT companies to break into the Latin
American market.
The occasion was graced by the presence of about 80 major government officials
and VIPs including Pedro Cerisola, Secretary of Communications and Transport of
Mexico, Jorge Alvarez, Undersecretary of Telecommunications in SCT, and Javier
Perez, General Coordinator of e-Mexico National System.
From Korea, Chin Dae-je, the Minister of Information and Communication of
Korea, delivered a video congratulatory message, and Cho Kyu-Hyung, Korean
Ambassador to Mexico, and a number of IT solution provider representatives
including Park Je-ho, the CEO of Korea Wisenut, were present at the IT Seminar
and project lauching event.
At the event, prominent Korean search engine provider Korea Wisenut(CEO: Park,
Je-ho) held technical seminars on the ‘Integrated search engine of Mexico
government websites’ and ‘IT evaluation tool for Mexican SMEs,’ presenting a
number of IT joint projects and services carried out by both parties.
Yoon, Jeong-won, the director of NCA, mentioned that the application of Korean
IT solutions in Mexican public IT projects will be facilitated as the e-Mexico
National System under the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Mexico
has been actively utilizing the outcome of joint projects carried out under the
Korea-Mexico IT Cooperation Center in developing Mexico’s e-government and
national informatization projects.
