Turkish E-Government Delegation Visits NIA on a e-Government Benchmarking Tour
Delegates from Turkey visited Korea to benchmark its e-Government and informatization success stories from January 14 to 18. The delegates participated in the “e-Government Seminar” hosted by the National Information Society Agency, and visited several government IT organizations including the Public Procurement Office and the National Center for Information Resource Administration.
The Turkish Delegation comprising of government officials was headed by Hasan GUL, the President of Turkish Public Procurement Authority. The delegates’ visit to Korea were organized by the Korea-Turkey ICT Cooperation Center, jointly operated by Korean and Turkish government.
At the e-Government seminar hosted by NIA on January 15, the delegates had a chance to listen to the success factors of Korean e-Government development as well as to explore possible cooperation project opportunities with Korea.
Chang-Kon Kim, the president of the NIA, at the seminar welcomed the delegates and expressed his hope that “this visit would become an excellent opportunity to further cooperation among NIA and Turkey.
