COMPARISON OF WIRELESS NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES APPLICABLE TO ESTABLISHING ICT INFRASTRUCTURE IN DEVELOPING NATIONS
2008.03.14 COUNT 3231
This report presents four wireless network technologies – WiFi, WiMax, HSDPA, and WiBro, which may be used when developing nations construct their wireless ICT infrastructure. Different technologies can be adopted by countries that wish to establish wireless infrastructure, depending on their features and requirements. Yet, WiBro is expected to have greater applicability over other technologies with higher data rate than HSDPA, broader coverage than WiFi and its mobility features.
