2007 Yearbook of Information Society Statistics (Republic of Korea)
As the national informatization is proceeding rapidly, and as the demands for informatization data
from all sectors of the society including the government, businesses, and academia rapidly increase,
the survey on the information society was undertaken to develop indicators that can encompass
the informatization status of Korea’s businesses from various perspectives.
The survey aims at providing basic data for establishing the national informatization policies by
defining the informatization level and status of Korea’s businesses in terms of their industrial types,
sizes, organizational structures, and locations.
According to the classification standard of the OECD, this report presented only the results for
the establishments with 10 or more employees.
