Pablo Bello, the Chilean Vice-Minister of Communications visited NIA on June 19th to discuss opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Chile and Korea.
He met with Dr. Seang-Tae Kim, the President of NIA and gave due praise to the Chile-Korea IT Cooperation for the role it played in strengthening cooperation between the two countries by giving technical consultations for the construction of Chilean e-government, policy advice on IT development strategies, and IT HR exchange programs.
Vice-Minister Bello showed particular interest in Korea's e-Government strategies and initiatives for the protection of critical infrastructures.
President Kim expressed his wish that Korea and Chile can continue to develop cooperative relationship, and that more could be done for future cooperation in the field of future IT strategy and cyber-infrastructure.
