Finland's Minister of Communication Visits NIA Ahead of OECD Ministerial Conference on the Future of the Internet Economy

The Minister of Communication of Finland - Ms. Suvi Lindén and Representatives of the Ubiquitous Information Society Advisory Board of Finland visited NIA on Monday, June 16, 2008 just ahead of the start of the OECD Ministerial Meeting on the Future of the Internet Economy held in Seoul, on the 17th and 18th of June.
Ms. Lindén and the 27 Finnish member delegation held informative discussions pertaining to ICT matters in both Finland and Korea. President of NIA, Dr. Seang-Tae warmly welcomed the Finnish guests to NIA and stated that he believed that a fruitful and important discussion on different topics could be realized by their meeting together. Various topics were discussed that ranged from broadband infrastructure to e-Government programs. Also potential areas of collaboration were discussed for possible future joint projects between Korea and Finland.
