Japanese SME Delegation Visit NIA to Learn about Korea’s e-Government Services
In early December, a 50 member delegation from Japan’s private sector visited NIA. The delegation was made up primarily from Japanese SME’s who visited NIA in order to get some more detailed information on Korea’s e-government services.
After getting a brief introduction presentation on NIA, 2 presentations on Government for Citizen (G4C) and Korea’s informatization policies were given to the delegation followed by a lively Q&A period. Some of the questions and discussions focused on taxation service included in G4C. Also usage rates for G4C in Korea were talked about as well. Some of the similarities and/or differences between Korea and Japan’s e-government services and demand were also discussed as both countries are kind of hierarchical and/or more centralized in nature but with some differences.
At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked their NIA hosts for an informative session as they felt the meeting was important in understanding each other and they hoped that this type of meeting would become a next step in further mutual collaboration between Japan and Korea.
