NIA President Seang-Tae Kim Interviewed on behalf of Colombian e-Government Officials

On April 13, NIA President Seang-Tae Kim took part in a video conference on behalf of Colombian e-Government officials and CINTEL as they benchmark top UN e-Readiness Index top ranked countries in order to learn more on the policies, strategies and best practices that have enabled these respective countries to be evaluated well in e-government.



This e-Government foresight and prospective research by the Colombian government was proposed in order to analyze trends and best practices in e-Government for Gobierno en línea, with the support of the Telecommunications Research Center – CINTEL. Particularly, Colombia is gathering information from those countries at the highest ranks in the recently published UN e-Government Report.



President Seang-Tae Kim answered a wide variety of questions related to Korea’s e-government for over 30 minutes through a video conference format. The questions spanned various e-government areas such as policy, strategy, laws and regulations, best practices, international cooperation, short, medium and long-term goals, budgeting and challenges.



The interview went very well with much information shared and discussed and NIA’s Colombian counterparts found the information very enriching and gratifying to realize that their certainties and uncertainties similar to the same ones here in Korea.
