Moldovan e-Government CTO Visits NIA

On June 23, 2011, Mr. Iurie Turcanu, the Moldovan e-Government Center CTO visited NIA and had a meeting with NIA President, Seang-Tae Kim in order to discuss possible cooperation between the two countries in the area of e-Government.



Mr. Turcanu was accompanied on his visit by Won-ki Min, a KCC secondee to the World Bank. He came to Korea as part of a training course held by KISA, Korea Internet Security Agency and was grateful for the opportunity to visit NIA and help build bridges between Moldovan ICT organizations and Korean ICT organization counterparts.



Mr. Turcanu shared the current e-government status of Moldova and also discussed future e-government cooperation as Moldova needed some of Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s previous experiences and know-how on ways to develop services within a limited budget range.



NIA President, Seang-Tae Kim discussed some of the positive aspects needed to establish a strong e-government foundation, including; leadership of the President/Prime Minister, role of the CIO and collaboration between different ministries. NIA President Kim went on to add that the Korean government has established an ITCC in Bulgaria that is already in operations in the Eastern European region so it || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || ll be possible to contact the dispatched Korean expert in order to discuss possible cooperation through the ITCC as well.


Other topics of discussion included e-framework guidelines, NIA || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s own created K-measure that evaluates online addiction and a possible MOU signing that would include e-government consultation.
