On July 18, 2011, 9 representative delegation from Cameroon || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s Ministry of Information and Communication visited NIA to learn about the case studies and present conditions of Korean e-Government.


Hyun-MokOh, Executive Principal from the Global Planning Department of NIA, commenced with the introduction of NIA, explaining in detail about the history and important policies of the agency. Moreover, he explained about the successful e-government and informatizationcase studies such as e-passport, e-civil service and Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s own Information Village Project - INVIL. In addition, he talked about the management of IT Cooperation Center, Collaboration with International Institutions and various international cooperation programs. Following the
presentations, there was time for discussions and a question and answer period.


 


Mr. Kouberda Abel, the Informatization Policy chief representative of the Cameroon Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), complemented Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s exceptional economic development through IT. Moreover, he was deeply interested in the process of using the official approval certifications such as Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital signatures. Mrs. GamoGamoNadegeKarine, also from Cameroon || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s MIC also stressed out that based on Cameroon || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s rich resources and willingness of the government, they would like to benchmark Korean rich
informatization infrastructure and hopefully fully expand and upgrade the overall level of e-Government services and operations in Cameroon.


 


NIA staff concluded the session by mentioning that NIA has played a major role in delivering successful e-Government services in Korea and it hopes to proceed with further collaboration with Cameroon in order to initiate successful e-Government services in Cameroon.
