On November 8th, a delegation from Honduras visited NIA headed but the Honduran government sector organization - SEPLAN, the Ministry of Technical Planning and External Cooperation in order to learn more about Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s experience in the area of ICT Master Plan development and e-Government experience.
The delegation numbered 14 people in total with half of the members from SEPLAN, which is as mentioned, a Ministry within the Honduran government and under the Presidential Office in Honduras. The delegation was led by EDUARDO PAV?N, Director of the Competitiveness and Innovation Directorate at SEPLAN who thanked the NIA staff for the opportunity to meet and learn more about Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s informatization experience. The delegation also included members from the private sector in Honduras as well as academia as well. From NIA, Dr. Jeongwon Yoon, Director of the Global Planning & Consulting Department made opening remarks and commented that it was good to reciprocate
the visit by the Honduran delegation as earlier this year, NIA had taken part in consulting activities in Honduras with SEPLAN as part of joint cooperation with the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) in Honduras regarding CCCCs (Communitarian Centers of Knowledge and Communications) back in May of this year.
During the meeting, Global Planning & Consulting Department Principal Manager, Ju-Hyun Ryu made a presentation to the delegation that highlighted Korea || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s e-government journey and the laws and policies formulated that enabled Korea to develop the world || chr(39) || || chr(39) || s top-notch e-government. Discussions after presentations were made focused on Honduran e-government and the formulation of a practical ICT Master Plan that needs to be developed and followed in order to pave the way for Honduras to upgrade e-services and applications so that the citizens of Honduras can benefit from such services.
