The Global e-Government Forum 2012 to be held in Seoul this coming October
The Ministry of Public Administration and Security (MOPAS) of Korea, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy (MKE) of Korea, and the United Nations Department of Economy and Social Affairs (UNDESA) will be jointly hosting the Global e-Government Forum. The Forum will be held in Lotte Hotel, Seoul, this coming October 18th through the 19th, and promises to be an excellent opportunity for public officers, academia, and market players from all over the world to exchange experiences and ideas on e-Government development. The Forum will specifically focus on the smart e-Government, with presentations on recent trends, country case studies, social and technical innovations, security, privacy, and e-Government cooperation in the global context.
Ministers and Vice-Ministers from over 25 countries, high-level officials from international organizations such as the UN, World Bank, Asia Development Bank, and African Development Bank, have been confirmed as participants and presenters. Professor Darrell West, the Vice-President of the Brookings Institution will be delivering the keynote speech.
There will also be an exhibition to showcase some of the best practices of Korea’s e-Government services and other services to the citizen utilizing new IT technologies. In addition, some of Korea’s major market players will also be displaying their IT solutions during exhibition.
